Crime, read seriously

The same case,
three truths.

Three detectives investigate with you. Each one sees what the others miss. You choose who you go in with.

Three detectives, three ways of looking

Choose your companion.

You never investigate a case file alone. Not with a narrator reading the case in a neutral voice, but with a detective who has a biography, a method and blind spots of their own. That choice decides what gets lit first and what stays in shadow.

Statement · Witness 03

At midnight we all raised a glass in the lounge. Marcos said he had been in the kitchen since eleven, making dessert. He turned up late for the toast, hands freshly washed. He said he had heard nothing. The umbrella was still dry by the door.

Kelly ›He says it and drops his voice. He had that line ready. Start there. The oven timer started at 23:52. Not «since eleven».It rained at eleven that night. Why is that umbrella still dry?

FILE 01 · 15 YEARS OF INTERROGATION
«People lie with their voice. Not with their hands.»

She spent fifteen years on the other side of the table, drawing statements out of people who had decided not to give them. She learned that almost nobody lies well, and that almost nobody knows how to look. She will not tell you who is guilty: she tells you who to stop believing.

How they play with youShe pushes you into the interrogations and warns you when someone is performing.

FILE 02 · FORENSICS
«If you have three versions of the same crime, two suspects are lying and one does not remember.»

He trained in a laboratory, not in a police station. To him an interrogation room is noise: people get it wrong, embellish, talk themselves into their own version. The forensic report does not. What matters to him is which version survives the data.

How they play with youHe cross-checks documents and hunts the contradiction between what someone said and what the evidence allows.

FILE 03 · 30 YEARS ON THE JOB
«What does not fit is almost always what matters.»

Thirty years on the job and too many cases she should not remember and remembers anyway. Her intuition stopped being a hunch and turned into compressed experience. First she points at where to look; the explanation comes later, if it comes.

How they play with youShe takes you to the loose end, to what does not add up, before she can even justify it.

How it is played.

No board. No turns. Just the case file, your method and a crime that is not going to explain itself.

  1. You open the case file

Documents, photographs, forensic reports and statements. Everything the investigation has on the table, on paper or on screen.

  2. You choose a companion

Kelly, Diego or Inés. Each one teaches you to read the same case their way and lets you see what the others do not.

  3. You investigate

You interrogate, cross-check evidence and pull the loose end. Nobody tells you where the answer is, just like in a real case.

  4. You accuse and check

You close the case with your verdict. You confirm whether you got it right, or you go back in with another pair of eyes.

Game modes

Two ways to close a case.

Quick Match

One night.
In one sitting.

You sit down with the case file, alone or as a team, and you do not get up until you accuse. A one-night game that starts and ends in one go, without sleeping on the leads: intense and closed.

Duration
21:002-4 h · in one sitting01:30

For one table, one night, one group.

Long Match

One week.
At your own pace.

The case stays open for seven days. You investigate in stretches, sleep on your theories and come back with a cool head. For the case files that do not get solved in one sitting.

Window
7 days openyou investigate in stretches

For investigating properly, without rushing.

On paper or on screen. The same crime.

Play the printed case file, with the documents in your hands, or digitally from your phone, tablet or computer.

You start the free admission case on screen and get to exactly the point where the first envelope of the physical dossier has to be opened. That is where you decide whether you want it in your hands.

This is not another mystery game.

  • Three detectives, not a narrator.

The same case reads differently depending on who you go in with.

  • One night or one week.

Quick Match or Long Match. You decide how long the investigation lasts.

  • Four difficulties, up to Extreme.

From your first night to cases with no guided leads.

  • A real Leaderboard.

You compete for rank in every case file, mode and format.

Guarantee · 30 days

If it does not grab you, we refund you.

Thirty days, no questions. And as a new project, you can be among the first to close a case.

Questions from the file.

Still something on your mind? Open the admission case free and see for yourself.

Do I need previous experience?

None. The admission case teaches you to read a case file in fifteen minutes and you start at the easy level.

Is it played solo or in a group?

Both. From 1 to 6 investigators depending on the case. In a group, each of you can go in with a different companion and argue about what you see.

Can I replay the same case with another companion?

Yes, and that is the point. With Kelly, Diego or Inés the same case lights up differently. What one method misses, another underlines.

How do I know if I got it right?

When you accuse, you confirm your verdict. If you are right, you see the confession. If you are wrong, you go back to the file with one more lead.

What is the difference between digital and physical?

The content is the same. Digital is instant and plays on any screen. Physical is the box with the documents in your hands, to keep or to give.

Can I give it as a gift?

Yes. The physical edition is a good gift for anyone who watches true crime and would like, for once, to solve it.

A real crime, every week.
